Josh Powell's Sister Releases Book Detailing Tumultuous Childhood

While Utah Police may have closed the case on missing mom Susan Powell, her family and community are still searching for answers in her tragic disappearance.

Josh Powell, who set fire to his Graham home and murdered their two children, has been a suspect in his wife's disappearance. Recently, his brother Michael emerged as a potential suspect in the case. He has since committed suicide.

Add father Steve Powell's voyeurism conviction for materials seized from his South Hill home, and the Powell family saga gets more twisted still.

A new book, written by Josh's sister Jennifer Graves, promises to shed more light on the Powell family dynamic. In A Light In Dark Places, Graves shares her struggles to have a healthy, normal life despite her tumultuous upbringing.

She discloses details about Josh Powell as a child and teenager, as well as insight into Josh and Susan’s early relationship and marriage. Graves offers her view on the factors that made her life so different from that of her brothers, Josh and Michael, and shares the way in which she was able to forge ahead and find peace even during the hardest, darkest days of her life.
