Insider Tips for Enjoying the Puyallup Parade and Getting Around

Anyone who has attended a Puyallup parade will tell you: if it's a nice day, get there early if you want a good view. When skies are clear, some start staking spots along the parade route as early as 6 a.m.

The Puyallup leg of the parade begins at Sparks Stadium, on the corner of 7th Ave SW & 5th St SW.

The Puyallup Street Division will start placing 'road closed' signs at approximately 11 a.m. View the Puyallup parade route in our media gallery.

Parking can be tough and Puyallup Police will enforce parking laws during the parade, said Capt. Scott Engle.

"Be prepared for very heavy traffic downtown and long backups with traffic," said Engle. "Our best advice? We highly encourage parade visitors to not leave valuables out in their car. Secure valuables in the trunk, take them with you or leave them at home."

(PSST: The best place for parking? We've heard City Hall...)
