Police Search Oregon Farm for Susan Powell

Today, police in Salem, Ore. searched a rural property for the body of missing mother Susan Cox Powell, who disappeared from her home in Utah in December of 2009.

On Wednesday, police in Salem, Ore. searched a rural property after a potential tip that the body of missing mother Susan Cox Powell might be buried there.

Cox Powell has been missing since she disappeared from her home in Utah in December of 2009.

In an interview with the Associated Press, her father and South Hill resident Chuck Cox said that the search didn't turn up any sign of her, but the property has remote ties to the family of her husband, Josh Powell.

Josh maintained his innocence in her disappearance, but killed their two boys Braden, 5 and Charlie, 7, in a house explosion in Graham, in 2012.

Josh's father, Steven Powell, is soon to be released from Monroe prison after he was sentenced for taking voyeuristic photographs of underage neighbors from his window in a South Hill neighborhood.

Cox told the AP that the house was searched after he got a tip that family of Steven's might be willing to help hide a body.
