Life is "Pin"teresting!

Life is "Pin"teresting! Explore the great recipes found on Pinterest! First up: Slow Cooker Sausage Breakfast Casserole!

So with the new year, comes resolutions.  One of mine is to become a better cook. I grew up cooking when I was growing up here in Puyallup. While I really love baking, I really need to improve my cooking skills.  After the opportunity arose to become a Blogger, I thought, "What could I write about that would really force me to improve something about myself, my family or my community?"  Okay, so blogging about Pinterest recipes is not going to change my community but hey, maybe it will inspire you to get out of your comfort zone and try something new!

My first 'creation' was a Slow Cooker Sausage Breakfast Casserole. Here is the link to my 'Pin' http://pinterest.com/pin/147844800239273194/

Here are some helpful hits that I discovered.

*  Be sure to spray the crock pot with cooking spray before puting in the ingredients...I could tell where I missed a spot.

*  I used Jimmy Dean Turkey crumbles and they tasted just a delicious as the 'regular' sausage crumbles. I am sure you could also use bacon or ham...or maybe all three!

*  I did not inlcude the onions or tomatoes (no onions--they don't like me) and my family is not a fan of tomatoes in their eggs.

* I would suggest putting the top layer of cheese on closer to the end time.  The top was mighty crusty.

I got rave reviews from my husband and son. My daughter did not eat it since it had eggs.

It was very simple and I do recommend this recipe especially if you have a busy weekend morning or for a special holiday occasion.  If you have any suggestions for recipes that you have found on Pinterest, please email them to me at casagalan@yahoo.com.  Yes, since this is a blog about Pinterst, please send me the link to the pin.

Now...what should I try next...
