Brush Up on Fourth of July Fireworks Laws in Puyallup

Fireworks can only be discharged on July 4 from 9 a.m. – 11 p.m. within Puyallup City Limits.

This Independence Day, Central Pierce Fire & Rescue and the Puyallup Police Department urge residents to celebrate safely. 

Legal and Illegal Fireworks: Figuring out which fireworks are legal can be tricky business.

  • Use only consumer fireworks sold by licensed fireworks stands in the City of Puyallup.
  • It is illegal to possess or discharge firecrackers, sky rockets, bottle rockets, and missiles outside of Tribal Lands.

Date/Time: In Puyallup, fireworks can be purchased from June 28, 12 p.m. (noon) to 11 p.m.; June 29 through July 3rd, 9 a.m. to 11 p.m.; July 4, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Fireworks can only be discharged on July 4 from 9 a.m. – 11 p.m. within Puyallup City Limits.

Fireworks Emphasis Patrols: The Puyallup Police Department and Central Pierce Fire & Rescue will be conducting additional Fireworks Emphasis Patrols in the City of Puyallup on July 3 and 4. Any illegal fireworks will be confiscated. Citizens found to be in possession of illegal fireworks may be subject to a citation and/or a fine.
