To address citizen concerns on residential roads, the Puyallup Police launched an emphasis program to give problem streets extra attention every week.

Do drivers on your street consistently ignore posted speed limits or traffic laws?

If so, Puyallup Police want to help.

"We're looking at speeding issues, mostly," said Puyallup Police Captain Scott Engle. "A lot of our data comes from our radar trailers, or if someone has concerns."

The 'street of the week' will be selected by the Traffic Unit, factoring in traffic volumes, vehicle speeds, numbers of traffic concerns, and other statistics.

Puyallup Police will then announce the street each Tuesday on Twitter. The street this week, according to @PuyallupPD, is:

Crystal Ridge DR SE from 23 AVE SE. 25 mph on this street.

If you would like to have your street assessed by the Traffic Unit, please contact the Traffic Unit Sergeant at 253-770-3354.
