Did Josh Powell's Brother Help Bury Susan Cox Powell?

New revelations about this week's search of a rural farm in Salem, Ore. and the recent suicide of Josh Powell's brother Michael might be the missing link in Susan Powell's disappearance from Utah.

Did Josh Powell's brother help murder Susan Cox Powell, or hide her body?

That's what is on the mind of Susan's father and South Hill resident Chuck Cox, who spoke recently to PEOPLE Magazine about this week's search of a rural farm in Salem, Ore.

According to PEOPLE, Cox and others believe that Josh Powell drove hundreds of miles during a 2009 December snowstorm with Susan's body in the van while their two sons, Charlie and Braden, slept in the backseat. It's possible that Josh was driving to meet his brother, Michael.

Michael committed suicide by jumping off a parking structure in Minneapolis this February. At the time, he was being questioned in Susan's disappearance, authorities said.

This week, cadaver dogs, volunteers and police scoured the farm, which was being rented by Powell family members at the time of Susan's disappearance. The three-day search turned up nothing and authorities are prepared to close the investigation.

However, Cox is so convinced that his daughter is buried there that he's organizing a search for the weekend of May 25 on public lands surrounding the Salem property. Many volunteers have already signed up to help.
