"Not In Puyallup" Car Prowl Patrols Begin Black Friday

As Black Friday gets into full swing, Puyallup Police start it's 8th annual "Not in Puyallup" motor vehicle and car prowl patrols, plus increased DUI patrols, to continue through New Years Eve.

On Black Friday, the Puyallup Police Department launched the 8th annual "Not In Puyallup Emphasis Campaign."

This year like past years, PPD will be seeking to reduce motor vehicle theft and car prowl in the business shopping areas of the city. Puyallup Police will also be putting out 15 extra DUI emphasis patrols between November 24 and December 31, 2012, to ensure our roadways are safe for our community during the holiday season.

This year PPD has also partnered with community service organizations to conduct car prowl inspections at the South Hill Mall. On Saturday, December 22, 2012, volunteers from Puyallup Kiwanis and Emerald Ridge High School Key Club are partnering with PPD to inspect vehicles at South Hill Mall to educate citizens to not leave valuables in their cars during the holiday shopping season. PPD is excited for this new community partnership for our 8th annual Not In Puyallup Emphasis Campaign.
