A Puyallup man died Saturday after his vehicle left the road on Highway 512 and hit a tree.
The collision occurred around noon just east of 7th Avenue Southeast, according to the Washington State Patrol. The victim was identified as Francis S. Giercznski, 54.
WSP says he was driving his 1997 Mercury Cougar on westbound Highway 512 near Pioneer when it left the roadway to the right and struck a tree and flipped over.
The driver was wearing his seatbelt, and his next of kin was notified.
