Puyallup Police Blotter: Lost Cars, Unlicensed Vendors at Washington State Fair
The following arrest and crime information has been supplied by the Puyallup Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
SEPT. 7, 2013
Parking Violations: Approximately one dozen parking tickets were issued during the Fair. Two "lost" cars were found.
Warrant Arrest: A man was reported in the Safeway parking lot high on drugs. He is a "renowned" burglar with an escape warrant from the Department of Corrections.
Collision: There was a collision in the Green Parking lot and the driver had a suspended license.
SEPT. 6, 2013
Vendor Problem: A vendor was contacted for selling light wands on the sidewalk without a permit near the Golden Gate. He provided two false names to police and lied to police, saying he forgot his wallet. There was no reason for him to lie to police, as he had no record. He was booked into jail for his troubles.
Transient: A 54-year-old man was stopped after he was witnessed riding down the street on a bike in all black clothing with a golf club fashioned into a a club attachment on his bike. He said he was a transient and didn't know where he would sleep.
