Puyallup Police Seek Help Identifying Heritage Bank Robber

The suspect robbed the bank in the 4600 block of South Meridian last Friday. He claimed he had a bomb.

On Friday, December 21, 2012 at approximately 1710 hours, Puyallup PD was dispatched to a bank robbery of Heritage Bank in the 4600 block of South Meridian.

The suspect was described as a white male, 6’0” to 6’3” with a heavy build. He wore black gloves, a black knit cap over his face and a black coat. The suspect rushed into the bank, yelling that wanted $10,000 and had a bomb. He produced a device from a backpack that appeared to be a remote control for a toy car and continued to be verbally intimidating as he approached the teller.

Once he had been given money, he threw the remote at the teller and dropped his backpack near a kiosk in the bank on his way out. The remote had a note on it that said there was no real bomb. The suspect left the bank and was witnessed getting on a mountain bike and fleeing south. The backpack did not contain any explosive devices.
