Daman Lehman was sentenced Friday in Pierce County Superior Court, the Tacoma News Tribune reports.

A Puyallup man was sentenced Friday to a year in jail in an assault that landed another man in a coma, The Tacoma News Tribune reported.

Daman Heath Lehman pleaded guilty earlier this month to assault for punching James Foster, who fell and hit his head outside the Cheers bar last year.

Foster’s mother, Lisa Foster, told the judge before sentencing that her son is not the same since the attack, the newspaper reported.
