Puyallup High School Community Mourns Student Death Online
Twitter users have been mourning the death of a Puyallup student through Twitter and Facebook. Puyallup Police confirmed that a 16-year-old girl died Thursday night and investigators are treating her death as a suicide.
News travels fast online, and many in the Puyallup High School community were using social media Friday to grieve the apparent death of a student.
Tributes and messages on Twitter mourned the girl's death.
Puyallup Police Capt. Scott Engle told Patch that police responded to a death investigation at 11 p.m. Thursday and the deceased was a 16-year-old girl. He said investigators are treating this death as a suicide.

The Puyallup School District declined to comment on the student's death, citing protocol and wanting to respect the family's privacy.
