Susan, Charlie and Braden Powell Honored at Angel Statue Dedication in Woodbine Cemetery

About 100 people celebrated the lives of Susan, Charlie and Braden Powell on Thursday night at Woodbine Cemetery in Puyallup.

Friends, family and well-wishers huddled together at Woodbine Cemetery in the dark of Thursday evening, to pay homage to lives taken too soon.

The memories of Charlie, Braden and Susan Powell have been immortailized through a special donation to the cemetery--an Angel of Hope statue, erected through funds raised by Pierce County Crimestoppers after the tragic deaths of the two Powell boys.

The statue is meant to honor not only the Powells, but to all children who have died. A special message on the side of the base invites the public back to Woodbine every December 6, to light a candle and reflect on those who have passed.
