Utah Police Announce They Will End Search for Susan Powell

The active case into Susan Powell's disappearance has been closed by the West Valley City Police Department and all documents in the case will be released soon.

While a press conference today in Utah signified the end of a journey for the West Valley Police Department, it is anything but closure in the mystery of Susan Powell's disappearance.

Today, the city manager of West Valley in Utah announced that they will close the active case and search for Powell and plan to release all the documents related to the case.

Powell disappeared in December of 2009; today, authorities confirmed that her husband, Josh Powell, was their prime suspect, since day one. They also confirmed that after Josh's murder/suicide of his two boys in Graham, they started to examine his brother, Michael. Michael committed suicide earlier this year by jumping off a parking structure in Minnesota.

A recent new theory that Susan might be buried in a rural farm in Salem, Ore. brought hope to the case, but nothing was found at the scene.
