Puyallup Seeks to Fill Vacancy on City Council Salary Review Commission

The City of Puyallup is accepting applications to fill a vacancy on the City Council Salary Review Commission, which is tasked with setting the salaries for city council members, the mayor and deputy mayor.

Salary Commission members serve two-year terms and must reside within Puyallup’s city limits. The commission is required to meet no less than three times per year.

Currently, public official salaries are set at the following amounts:

Mayor $1,333/mo $16,000/yr Deputy Mayor $1,200/mo $14,400/yr City Council Member  $1,142/mo  $13,700/yr

Puyallup city council members and their dependents are also eligible for health insurance provided by the city, including full medical, dental and vision coverage, with personal life insurance up to $50,000, according to the municipal code.
