Shelly Schlumpf Concedes To Dawn Morrell In Race For District 25, Position 1
District 25, Position 1 candidate Shelly Schlumpf conceded to challenger Dawn Morrell Saturday morning via phone. She posted the following message on her Facebook account Saturday afternoon:
“It has been a great experience to run for office and I want to thank all the wonderful volunteers who gave of their time and resources these past months. I called Dawn Morell this morning to congratulate her and offer my support at the Chamber in her small business advocacy efforts.
Thanks to everyone who took the time to post comments and encourage others to support my campaign. It has been a rewarding and unforgettable experience.”
The unofficial vote tally places Morrell about 5 percent ahead of Schlumpf with an additional 2,543 votes. Results will be certified on November 27, 2012
