Should Puyallup Allow Recreational Marijuana Businesses Within City Limits?

The Puyallup City Council is expected to discuss a temporary moratorium on recreational marijuana businesses within city limits at the Tuesday, Aug. 13 city council meeting.

The Puyallup City Council will begin discussions on recreational marijuana sales, growth and distribution within city limits at tonight's meeting.

On the table is a proposed moratorium that would temporarily ban production, distribution and sales of marijuana and infused products within city limits for a 60 day period, while the Washington State Liquor Control Board finalizes its regulations for the voter-approved I-502.

This is the first time Puyallup has addressed the impacts of I-502 since it was approved. The council meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. Tues., Aug. 13Β in Puyallup City Hall.Β
