SR 167/Meridian Bridge Replacement Update

From Puyallup's City Manager Blog Update:

Replacement of the northbound Meridian Street steel truss bridge, across the Puyallup River, continues to move forward. Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) will select the top three design build teams and send out a request for proposals on June 12th; the teams will then have twelve weeks to prepare and submit their proposals. WSDOT will announce the team selection on September 27th.Β

Construction is slated to begin in the spring of 2014, with completion of the structure in the fall of 2015. City staff and WSDOT have been working together on traffic control plans, detour routes, and the relocation of our water and sewer utilities; which will be moved from the current concrete bridge to the new structure.
