Alternative High School Students to Get Microsoft Tablets

Every student at E.B. Walker High School will get brand new Microsoft tablets when they go back to school this fall.

While most at-risk students struggle to stay up-to-date with current technology, Puyallup is putting them first with brand new tablets this school year.

KING 5 reports that the entire student body of E.B. Walker High School will receive Microsoft RT Surface Tablets and keyboards to take home and use for school assignments. There are about 150 students enrolled for the 2013-14 school year.

With a high drop out rate and poverty level at Walker, school administrators hope that helping at-risk students plug in will motivate them to achieve.
