Safe Sitter Babysitting Class

Central Pierce Fire & Rescue will be offering babysitting classes (Click Here for Dates). This one day course, Safe Sitter, is a medically accurate program that teaches adolescents ages 11 to 13 years how to handle emergencies when caring for a child. The class teaches safe and nurturing child care techniques, behavior management skills, and appropriate responses to medical emergencies. Students will learn:

How to administer CPR to infants and children.
What to do if the child gets a bloody nose.
What to say if 911 has to be called.
How to screen babysitting jobs to decide whether to accept or refuse.
How to change a diaper.

Safe Sitter® teaches these skills and much more! Cost of the class is $20 per student. Students who successfully complete the class will receive a Safe Sitter Manual® and a completion card.

For additional information or to have these forms mailed to you, please call (253) 538-6402. Your child must be registered and payment must be made one week prior to the class date or attendance will not be permitted. Space is limited and your child will not be considered registered until we receive payment, the registration form and student contract.
