Boys Lacrosse: Emerald Ridge-Puyallup Falls Short Against Kamiak in Season Opener

MUKILTEO – Keanan Haugan delivered five goals as Kamiak High School logged a season-opening boys lacrosse win over Emerald Ridge-Puyallup, Tuesday at Kamiak High School in Mukilteo.

Kamiak edged ahead to a 3-2 lead in the first and matched Emerald Ridge-Puyallup goal-for-goal in the second to take a 5-4 advantage into the half.  

In the third, Kamiak broke free and outscored Emerald Ridge-Puyallup, 4-1, to take a 9-5 lead into the final quarter.

In the end, Emerald Ridge-Puyallup managed the only goal in the fourth to close out the game.

Brandon Seachriest had two goals and five ground balls and Davin Ehli had 16 saves in goal for Emerald Ridge-Puyallup.

Kamiak (1-0-0) next faces Lake Washington (0-0-0), Friday, March 15 in an 8 p.m. start at the Kirkland Lacrosse Center in Kirkland.  Emerald Ridge-Puyallup (0-0-1) next faces Bellevue (2-0-0), Saturday, March 16 in a 7 p.m. start at Sparks Stadium in Puyallup.
