Master Douglas Coleman, assistant instructor for Q's Taekwondo, 5th Degree Black Belt and a student for over 22 years, oversees the youth tournament training program every Saturday morning at Q’s.

“Our students did so well in competition, especially in the Poomse (Forms) division. I like to emphasize forms because it represents the Art form of Taekwondo," said Coleman. "Understanding each stance, block, strike and kick and combining it with the necessary speed, technique, balance, and coordination is the key: that’s the Art of Taekwondo [...] I cannot measure the pride and gratification I receive in working with our youth and their families alike.”

Taekwondo instills self-discipline, self-reliance, confidence and a higher level of self-esteem in its students, Coleman said.

“It’s great to see how Taekwondo helps our students develop in their personal growth in and out of the Taekwondo studio.  I am so proud of each one of our students and the outstanding support given by their families," said Grandmaster Antonio Quiming, 8th Degree Black Belt.

Q’s Taekwondo is all about family. They are enrolling now and are offering a free orientation class. Spectators are always welcome.
