Homeless Services Event Offers Free Medical, Dental and Veterinary Care for Those in Need

Project Homeless Connect is happening May 17, 2013 at Calvary Community Church in Sumner. Those in Puyallup who want to take advantage of the resources available can catch the shuttle at the DSHS building.

When someone experiences hunger, poverty and homelessness, taking care of their personal needs often takes a backseat to simply trying to get by.

On Friday, May 17, Project Homeless Connect volunteers will meet with members of the community at Sumner's Calvary Community Church, where they can receive dental and medical treatment, flu shots, hair cuts, addiction counseling, veterinary services for pets and more.

Doors are open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday. If you need help, want to go to this event and don't have a ride, volunteers can pick you up.
