'Walk a Mile in Her Shoes' Mile Run and 5K Raises Awareness for Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence

For many, it's hard to imagine being a domestic violence or sexual assault victim, but for many more it's a tragic reality.

'Walk a Mile in Her Shoes' is an international community march designed to raise awareness about, and funding for, sexual assault and domestic violence in communities.

This year, the City of Puyallup is hosting a local version of the charitable event, along with 5k fun run. The proceeds from the walk and run events will benefit the Sexual Assault Center of Pierce County and Good Samaritan Behavioral Health.
